Staff Team

CRCK has five formal staff members.

Graham and his wife, Ali, and girls Alys and Rosie came to Tasmania in 2006. God also blessed them with Nathan soon afterwards. Graham joined CRC Kingston in 2018 to lead the staff team and take overall responsibility for leading the vision and mission of the church. He particularly loves the sense of being on mission together that already exists at CRC Kingston as we continue to preach the good news of Jesus Christ being our only hope in this life. Graham loves doing stuff with his family, playing squash (and any other sport he can fit in), cooking, drawing and dreaming of the heaps of other things that he never gets round to!

Paul is married to Hayley, and is the proud father Adeline and Theodore. He is one of the pastoral staff at CRCK and is involved with preaching as well as overseeing welcoming and newcomers, membership, mercy ministry and assisting the elders in providing pastoral care. Paul loves exploring new places and foods with his wife, the outdoors, fishing and football.

Simone is married to Andrew, and loves being a Mum to Connor, Tasma, India and Darcy.  She is CRCK’s Children and Families Worker, which is a part-time, voluntary role focusing on children’s ministry. Simone heads up Kidz Biz, our Sunday school for Grades 1-4, and is excited by the opportunity to share the great love that Jesus has for children.  Friends, food and the (occasional) warm Tassie day BBQ are a favourite way for Sim to relax.

Julia is the women's worker at CRCK. Her passion is to see women come to know Jesus and have their lives transformed by him. To that end, Julia coordinates women's outreach events and activities that help women know and trust Jesus more. Julia is married to Matt and has three daughters. Julia enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Marty is engaged to Trish and is one of the Ministry Training Strategy (MTS) apprentices at CRCK. As a part of MTS, he is involved in a wide range of ministries, ranging from Children’s Church to Youth ministry to leading an adult Bible study. He is also responsible for the Music Teams and the AV Teams. Marty loves playing games with his friends, whether they be board games or computer games. What excites him the most is seeing young people put their faith in their Saviour.

Eldership

CRCK believes that God has established local churches to be led by teams of male elders whose qualifications are outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. These men, seeking the input of the congregation, are ultimately responsible for the spiritual oversight and governance of the church, protecting her from error and caring for her members. The pastors are ultimately accountable to this Leadership Team.

Matt has lived in Tassie all his life except for a fantastic 11 years in north-east England, returning in 2012. He is married to Julia and they have three girls. During the week Matt works as a research scientist, trying to understand Antarctica's contribution to sea level; he also keeps a close eye out for good coffee. He loves trying to make the church work better and is the elder responsible for Evangelism & Mission.

John (or Jan) lived in the Netherlands for the first 20 years of his life. His parents decided to immigrate to Tassie as a family in 1967. John is retired but was specialised in electronics as applied to broadcasting studios and worked in this field in Tasmania. He is married to Dot; they have 2 daughters, 4 sons and 8 grand children which they enjoy.  He also enjoys choir singing and tinkering with classic cars. John loves to see many conformed to the likeness of God’s son, Jesus.

Bruce has lived in the Kingborough for 56 years and loves it! He is married to Bronwyn, has 4 married sons and 8 grandchildren, all of whom he loves spending time with. He is a builder by trade and currently works as a Building Estimator with a local building company. Riding his motorbike is his way of relaxing. In recent years, Bruce has enjoyed the challenge of leading a weekly Connect Group and also likes to keep an eye out for visitors at church.

Wim is married to Lou and they have three married children and nine grandchildren.  Wim is well and truly retired, but spent 36 years as an electrical engineer with the Hydro and Aurora Energy, doing everything from power station design to regulatory compliance.  His interests include family & friends, food & wine, his old Mini, and single malt whisky.  Oh, and travel.  And music.

Andrew is a born and bred Tasmanian, living in Leslie Vale for the last 15 years. He is married to Simone (on the staff team) and they have one son and three daughters, at the age where they are starting to leave the family home. Andrew is a part-owner of a software development company, Geometry, where he manages projects, designs IT systems and dabbles in programming. Watch out for him around Salamanca, as he goes for a lunchtime run. He loves learning about God’s plan for his kingdom and how that affects people’s lives.
